The Cleveland Browns had a two score lead with less than two minutes left. Nick Chubb had just ran in for his third touchdown of the game and all looked well. Jacoby Brissett gave them the best game he could have, and Joe Woods’ defense, and specifically the secondary, continue to cost them winnable games.
Deja Vu.
Corey Davis flew by for a touchdown on a busted coverage. An onside kick was recovered, and Joe Flacco cooked the defense as he found Garrett Wilson on a game-winning touchdown. An almost ideal outing by the offense and Brissett was wasted by busted coverages in the back-half.
Joe Woods and passing game coordinator Jeff Howard are going to have to answer for this. This was a fireable performance out of the secondary.
The Browns fall to 1-1 after looking like they had their first 2-0 start in 29 years in the bag.
