A very physical game between the Cleveland Browns and Los Angeles Chargers in Week 5 ended with one Browns player rushed to the hospital with a throat injury.
Browns rookie linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah was taken to a Los Angeles-area hospital via ambulance for further testing and observation of a throat contusion he suffered during the game. It is unclear when Owusu-Koramoah suffered the injury during the Browns’ 47-42 loss to the Chargers.
There is no word on if the team’s second-round pick will return to Cleveland with the team. Owusu-Koramoah had four tackles and a forced fumble in the game.
Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow was also taken to the hospital following that team’s loss to the Green Bay Packers with the same injury.
