The status of running back Nick Chubb’s knee has been a big talking point this off-season. The Browns star has posted several videos showing that he is crushing his rehab and working his way back to the football field.
Earlier this week, quarterback Deshaun Watson made it clear that doubting Chubb doesn’t make much sense. With training camp kicking off next week, Browns insider Mary Kay Cabot reports that she expects the team to place Chubb on the Physically Unable to Perform list.
This expected move doesn’t come as a big surprise and doesn’t mean he won’t play in the season opener. Someone who is placed on the PUP list can be activated at any time before the season begins. He can also participate in team activities as he prepares for his return.
Rookies will report on the 22nd and veterans the next day before the team prepares to head back to The Greenbrier to start camp.
