Browns Injury Update: WR Amari Cooper unlikely to play vs. Steelers

The Browns are likely without their top target…

It was reported a day ago that wide receiver Amari Cooper tweaked his groin in Friday’s practice, leading to a questionable tag for Monday Night’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. And now, ESPN’s Adam Schefter has reported the Cleveland Browns will likely be without their top target as they look to go 2-0 for the first time in 30 years.

For the Browns, however, they have also caught a break on the injury front in this one as well, as both defensive tackle Cameron Heyward and wide receiver Diontae Johnson are set to miss this matchup for the Steelers.

Last game against the Cincinnati Bengals, Cedric Tillman, David Bell, and Marquise Goodwin each saw 10 snaps. If Cooper is indeed out, will Tillman be the one to step up? Will they even his snaps out among the three? This is something to monitor throughout the game Monday night.

Can the Browns overcome the potential absence of Cooper as they face the Steelers on primetime television?
