There are dueling reports about the status of wide receiver Amari Cooper as the Cleveland Browns get set to take on the Pittsburgh Steelers tonight on Monday Night Football. Cooper, who tweaked his groin during Saturday’s practice, traveled with the team and is questionable for the game.
First, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that Cooper was unlikely to play immediately after the report came out that he had dinged up his groin. However, as we get closer to game time, it appears that things are trending in the right direction for Cooper and the Browns.
Monday Night Football commentator Joe Buck, while appearing on The Pat McAfee Show, has now stated that head coach Kevin Stefanski himself told him that Cooper was expected to give it a go for the Browns tonight.
While Cooper is likely to test it out, his status for the game is truly as his gameday designation describes: questionable. So much so, that not even the insiders have a true answer to give.
