Cleveland Browns safety Grant Delpit was all over the field against the Cincinnati Bengals in the opening game in Cleveland. He made an impact in both run defense and covering from the slot, the box, and as a deep safety. He has continued his hot start with a big interception of Kenny Pickett on the first drive of the Pittsburgh Steelers.
It looks like the former LSU Tiger is ready to build off the best game of his career as he reads Pickett perfectly to jump the pass on third down. If the Browns continue to get this version of Delpit this defense can do something special under Jim Schwartz.
Schwartz has his guys buying into what he is preaching flying all over the field playing smart yet aggressively. The Browns were not able to capitalize on the turnover but if the team continues to play stingy defense they have a good shot at a 2-0 start.
