Browns designate G Michael Dunn to return from IR

The Cleveland Browns designated offensive guard Michael Dunn to return from the injured reserve list

The Cleveland Browns announced they designated offensive guard Michael Dunn to return from injured reserve. Dunn is allowed to practice with the team for the next 21 days before being added back to the active roster. He can be added back at any point in the next three weeks.

Dunn is in his fourth season with the Browns. He is the backup guard for the team and has been used as the first extra offensive lineman when the Browns run their heavy personnel. Dunn played in four games this season before going on injured reserve with a calf strain in October.

The Browns could use his services as the offensive line room has been trimmed down after injuries to Dawand Jones and Jed Wills Jr. The Browns needed some good injury news after it was reported franchise quarterback Deshaun Watson will miss the rest of the season with a broken bone in his rotator cuff. While a backup offensive lineman can never fill the hole left by a quarterback, football is a team game where every player is needed.
