Browns’ Deshaun Watson could return vs. Colts in Week 7

Deshaun Watson could make his return in Week 7 to face Indy.

While the Indianapolis Colts have to get through this week first, it seems there’s a chance they will be facing quarterback Deshaun Watson when the team hosts the Cleveland Browns in Week 7.

After being ruled out Friday for the Browns’ game against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 6, Watson will have missed the last two games due to a deep shoulder contusion in his throwing arm.

However, Adam Schefter of ESPN reported that Watson could return to game action against the Colts in Week 7.

In three starts, Watson has completed 63.7% of his passes for 678 passing yards, four touchdowns and two interceptions. Dorian Thompson-Robinson filled in for the Browns in Week 5, but former Colts quarterback P.J. Walker is expected to get the start in Week 6.

The Colts have been dealing with their own quarterback injuries as rookie Anthony Richardson may be lost for the rest of the season as he strongly considers season-ending shoulder surgery to repair a damaged AC joint in his throwing shoulder.

We’ll see if Watson makes his return against the Colts in Week 7, but it appear there’s optimism for it to happen.
