Browns could get star back for Week 5 vs. Commanders

Browns could get a big part of their offense back for the first time in 2024.

The Cleveland Browns are struggling. A Wild-Card team in 2023, Cleveland currently sits at 1-3, having lost to the Giants and Raiders back-to-back.

One of Cleveland’s biggest issues is quarterback Deshaun Watson. Now in his third season with the Browns, Watson has a 23.7 QBR, averaging only 4.9 yards per attempt.

Watson and Cleveland’s offense could get a big lift ahead of its Week 5 game against the Washington Commanders. The Browns opened running back Nick Chubb’s 21-day window Wednesday, where he must either be activated to the main roster or be placed on season-ending injured reserve.

Chubb was back on the practice field Wednesday for the first time since suffering a season-ending knee injury last September.

Chubb is a four-time Pro Bowler with over 6,500 rushing yards and 48 touchdowns. Regardless of how much he could play on Sunday, his presence would be a big boost for a struggling Cleveland offense.
