As the quarterback of the Cleveland Browns, Baker Mayfield will be the center of conversations unless he is no longer starting for the team. In the 2021 offseason, the conversation was about surrounding him with more weapons and a defense capable of slowing down other high-flying offenses. The 2022 offseason is a bit different.
Mayfield’s recovery from shoulder surgery should give him a chance to recapture the best version of himself in 2022. That is likely to be with the Browns given their comments and the high cost of finding a clear upgrade at the position.
While the former Heisman Trophy winner is on a social media break, he was photographed without a sling shortly after his surgery. This week, another sighting of Mayfield out as he surprised a Florida soccer team that is headed to their state’s championship:

It is unclear Mayfield’s connection to the school or if he was in Florida for anything related to rehab but he has consistently looked to give back to the community and kids.
With the quarterback off social media, it will be interesting to see how many glimpses of him are seen throughout the offseason as he heals.
