The Browns added some much-needed reinforcement to the secondary on Wednesday. Cleveland activated safety Ronnie Harrison off the injured reserve list, and he will be in the lineup for the Week 17 matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Harrison has missed the last four games with a shoulder injury suffered on the first drive against the Jacksonville Jaguars, who traded the third-year safety to Cleveland earlier this summer. He was designated for return from I.R. last week but wasn’t quite ready to play in New York. The Browns have sorely missed his steady presence.
With starting safety Andrew Sendejo already ruled out due to COVID-19, getting Harrison back means the Browns will have at least one regular member of the safety corps on the field. Karl Joseph is currently on the reserve/COVID-19 list but can be activated before Sunday’s game as long as he continues to test negative.
