Juncos Hollinger Racing technical director Yves Touron has left the team to pursue another opportunity. In his place, David Brown has been hired.
Brown, whose vast experience includes decades of working for leading Formula 1 teams, and in sports cars, comes to the NTT IndyCar Series to oversee JHR’s two-car operation. Touron led JHR’s engineering program and worked directly with race engineers Steven Barker and Allen McDonald, who will welcome Brown into the technical director role.

“I’m excited to welcome David to Juncos Hollinger Racing,” Brad Hollinger said. “His presence reinforces our commitment to continued advancement on the technical side of the team. His vast experience in F1, as well as other forms of motorsport, will benefit the team from day one. I also want to thank Yves for his significant contributions to JHR and wish him a fulfilling and prosperous future.”
Brown engineered some of F1’s greatest drivers, including Ayrton Senna, in a grand prix career that began in 1981, and has been a steady presence in the U.S. in recent years, working with the Bryan Herta Autosport IMSA program and with Porsche as part of its IMSA Customer Support division.
“I’m delighted to accept this opportunity and look forward to working with the team,” Brown said. “The NTT IndyCar Series is fiercely competitive, and it’s a challenge I am ready to embrace.”
To date, JHR has confirmed one of its two drivers with Sting Ray Robb stepping into the No. 78 Chevy. Romain Grosjean, who led the team in 2024 in the No. 77 Chevy, is among the options to return to the car and complete the roster.
