Brooklyn Nets projected to take Jett Howard with 21st overall pick

Per HoopsHype, the Brooklyn Nets are projected to take Jett Howard with the 21st overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft.

The Brooklyn Nets have some important decisions to make when the 2023 NBA Draft comes around less than two weeks from now. They have two first-round picks and with one of them, 21st overall, they are projected to select Michigan wing Jett Howard according to to a recent article by Michael Scotto and Alberto De Roa of HoopsHype.

Howard, 20, averaged 14.2 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 2.0 assists per game while shooting 41.4% from the field and 36.8% from three-point range. Due to his ability to shoot and make plays thanks to his ball-handling, Howard was named to the Big Ten All-Freshman team and the All-Big Ten third team.

Some of Howard’s weaknesses include his struggles to defend the basketball at the point of attack and not being an elite level athlete. Brooklyn has more than enough wings on the roster, but if they’re looking to trade Dorian Finney-Smith and/or Royce O’Neale and are able to do so, Howard could be someone worth considering for the near future if he develops.
