Brooklyn Nets projected to take Bilal Coulibaly with 22nd overall pick

The Brooklyn Nets could select Bilal Coulibaly, teammate of Victor Wembanyama, with the 22nd overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft, according to Bleacher Report.

After the 2023 NBA Draft lottery on Tuesday, even though it did not have any tangible effect on the Brooklyn Nets‘ draft plans, Brooklyn now knows where each team is picking in the draft in June. For now, the Nets are projected to select Metropolitans 92 forward Bilal Coulibaly with their second first-round pick, 22nd overall, in the draft according to Bleacher Report.

Coulibaly, teammate of likely #1 overall pick Victor Wembanyama, is regarded as an upside kind of player given his impressive physical profile. Coulibaly, 6’8″ 195 LBs, according to NBA Draft Room, has the archetype of a slasher with his ability to play in transition and operate above the rim.

Coulibaly’s main weakness is his shooting. Even though he shot 52.8% from the field, he shot just 35.4% from three-point land on just 2.2 attempts per game. However, as is common knowledge for many who evaluate draft prospects, shooting as a skill can be improved whereas athleticism and physical ability can only be improved so much.
