The Brooklyn Nets made it three consecutive wins against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Sunday. Despite the Thunder attempting eight more shots than the Nets, Brooklyn’s efficient shooting was too much for Oklahoma to handle. They ended the game with 50% accuracy from the field and 42% accuracy from downtown.
Patty Mills (29 PTS, 9 3PM) was a man on a mission all night and he was causing absolute chaos for Oklahoma. This complemented Kevin Durant (33 PTS, 8 REBS) and James Harden (16 PTS, 13 ASTS) well after they set the tone in the opening stages of the game.
Unfortunately for the Nets, Joe Harris (3 PTS, 13 MINS) was forced to leave the game in the second quarter after spraining his left ankle. His team had to hold it down in his absence and they absolutely did by stepping up and embracing the opportunity.
The bench as a whole scored 56 points and Brooklyn’s physicality was palpable, making 21 trips to the free throw line and knocking down 20. Brooklyn also racked up 30 assists as they put the Thunder away by 24 points.
This marked the end of a six-game road trip for the Nets and now they will return home to Barclays Center to take on the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday.
