Despite all of the rumors and mock trades, the Brooklyn Nets are not interested in trading guard Mikal Bridges, according to The Athletic. It should be important to note that there hasn’t been any indication that the Nets were looking to deal Bridges in the first place.
Ever since Game 3 of Brooklyn’s first-round playoff series against the Philadelphia 76ers, the Nets have been linked to Portland Trail Blazers superstar Damian Lillard. Lillard attended the game and even though Brooklyn lost the games and eventually lost the series in a sweep, Lillard being at the game gave credence to the rumors of a trade that brings Lillard to Brooklyn.
Most of the mock trades that have come out this offseason have not involved Bridges given the fact how much Bridges is valued across the NBA. Also, Portland has not officially said that they are putting Lillard on the trade block, but there have been rumors that the Trail Blazers could shop Lillard if they decide to undergo a rebuild.
John and I heard the same thing in Chicago. Those Mikal Bridges/Blazers trade rumors are all talk. Nets aren't interested. https://t.co/6wuXgi8POe
