The Brooklyn Nets have their roster set for the most part with training camp just weeks away from now. With some recent news regarding one of the best players in the NBA, it seems that the Nets could be one of the teams looking to make a superstar-level trade in the near future.
In a recent article by ESPN, the NBA insiders for the outlet especially put together a piece detailing some of the important things to know pertaining to Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo. Recently, Antetokounmpo said that if there is a better situation for him that he has to take that situation.
This possibly implies that if the Bucks do not do enough to keep their team around Antetokounmpo at a championship level, he may leave. For teams like the Nets, that may be all they need to hear to kick the tires on possibly acquiring someone like Antekounmpo through a trade or free-agency.
Here’s what the ESPN article said regarding teams like the Nets that may have some interest in Antetokounmpo in the near future:
“A few preliminary teams, who at the very least, will be watching this situation closely, could include the New Orleans Pelicans, Toronto Raptors, Brooklyn Nets, New York Knicks and Golden State Warriors, according to Zach Lowe and Ramona Shelburne during a recent episode of the Lowe Post podcast. Each of those teams have a combination of intriguing young players and valuable draft picks available that could be packaged in the kind of trade it would theoretically take to land Antetokounmpo.”
