James Harden and Kyrie Irving are officially ruled out for Game 5 against the Milwaukee Bucks on Tuesday, the team confirmed. Harden is still dealing with a hamstring strain while Irving is coping with a sprained ankle he suffered in Game 4.
Brooklyn has lost back-to-back games in the series against Milwaukee, and will now be without two-thirds of the Big Three. Game 5 will be a home game at the Barclays Center, but will home-court advantage make enough of a difference for a short-handed Nets team?
Kevin Durant is still confident in the Nets’ available players, saying Monday that he trusts “in everybody on this team and we trust in each other.” Head coach Steve Nash said that his squad has had bad luck all year, but that he knows his Nets have “experience with this with different guys unavailable.”
