The Brooklyn Nets finished the preseason with a win on the road over Karl-Anthony Towns and the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday night, as Kyrie Irving led the way with 26 points and four assists.
The victory bumped the Nets’ preseason record to 2-2, and the team will return to the court for the season-opener against New Orleans on October 19.
Ben Simmons had a light workload on Friday, as he fouled out of the game in just 13 minutes of action, though still managed to post a +15 rating in that span. Steve Nash said after the game that he joked Simmons should jump on an exercise bike to get some conditioning work in after leaving the game early.
