The Brooklyn Nets have a busy offseason ahead of them as they look to make the 2023-24 season a great year for them and it looks like they have started the process of addressing their impending free-agency.

According to Keith Smith of Spotrac, the Nets have tendered a qualifying offer to wing Cam Johnson which officially makes him a restricted free-agent come July 1. Since Johnson will be a restricted free-agent, Brooklyn has a better chance of bringing him back to the organization since they have the right to match any offer sheet that Johnson receives over the course of the free-agency period.

Johnson, 27, just finished his fourth season in the NBA after being selected by the Phoenix Suns 11th overall in the 2019 NBA Draft out of North Carolina. The native of Moon Township, Pennsylvania came to Brooklyn as part of the Kevin Durant trade that was made at the February trade deadline. In 25 regular-season games with the Nets, Johnson averaged 16.6 points, 4.8 rebounds, 2.1 assists, and 1.4 steals per game while shooting 46.8% from the field and 37.2% from three-point land.
