Brooklyn Nets at Toronto Raptors odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Wednesday’s Brooklyn Nets at Toronto Raptors odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Toronto Raptors (9-8) host the Brooklyn Nets (8-10) Wednesday. Tip-off from Scotiabank Arena is set for 7:30 p.m. ET. Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook’s lines around the Nets vs. Raptors odds, and make our expert NBA picks and predictions.

The Nets were upended 115-106 at the Philadelphia 76ers Tuesday, losing outright as 8-point favorites. G Kyrie Irving led the way with 23 points on 10 of 18 shooting, while F Kevin Durant pitched in 20 points and G Ben Simmons added 11 points and 11 assists.

Brooklyn will be playing on the road for the 6th time in its last 7 games and will be playing its 4th back-to-back set of the season, having gone 1-2 over the first 3 such outings.

The Raptors fell 124-122 at the Atlanta Hawks Saturday, covering the spread as 5.5-point underdogs. F Scottie Barnes had team-highs in points (28), rebounds (11) and assists (9), but suffered a knee injury and is considered a true game decision after missing practice Tuesday.

Brooklyn won the 1st meeting 109-105 as a 2.5-point home favorite on Oct. 21.

Nets at Raptors picks and predictions

Prediction

Raptors 109, Nets 106

Moneyline

The Raptors (-135) are probably the correct side against a Nets team that will be playing on the road for the 9th time in its last 11 games. However, you’re better off playing the narrow spread for better value.

PASS.

Against the spread

Toronto has been dealing with a number of injuries to key players, but has still kept it competitive in recent weeks. However, if Barnes can’t go that’s a big blow to the home side. His availability to suit up Wednesday is a major factor and you may need to keep an eye on the injury reports as we edge closer to game time to decide if you want any action on this one or not.

The Raptors are not only 6-1 straight-up at Scotiabank Arena so far this season, but they’re also 5-2 ATS there with an average margin of victory of 6.4 points. Against a surely road-weary Nets team on the tail end of a back-to-back set, take the RAPTORS -2.5 (-105) — provided Barnes suits up.

Over/Under

This is one of the highest totals posted in recent Nets-Raptors history, but it may be creeping up a little too high. The Nets trend toward Unders as the road team and even more so as road underdogs, and the Under is 4-1 in the last 5 head-to-head meetings between these sides in Toronto.

Toronto is already without its leading scorer with Siakam sidelined and may also be without its 5th-leading scorer if Barnes can’t go. It’s going to be trying to draw additional production out of its bench, and that should help this stay UNDER 221.5 (-110).
