Bronny James has committed to USC

Bronny James, the son of LeBron James, will be staying in town for college, as he has committed to the University of Southern California.

Bronny James, the son of Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James, has been an intriguing high school prospect for some time.

At first, a lot of the intrigue had to do with his legendary father and was based on his potential, but over the last five or six months, he has started to come into his own.

During his senior season at Sierra Canyon School in the San Fernando Valley, the younger James’ stock rose considerably, partly due to his prowess on the defensive end. A mock 2024 draft by ESPN even had the 6-foot-3 guard being taken with the No. 10 pick.

Many have been waiting for him to decide where he will play his college ball, and on Saturday ended the wait. He decided to stay in the Southland and attend the University of Southern California.

The younger James’ options were thought to have been USC, the University of Oregon and Ohio State University. Some believed his father would urge him to attend Ohio State, but instead of becoming a Buckeye, he will be a Trojan.
