Bronny James earns bid onto Nike Hoop Summit

Bronny James, LeBron James’ son, will play in this spring’s Nike Hoop Summit and compete against some of the best U-19 players in the world.

Bronny James, the son of Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James, is inching toward the end of his senior year of high school and possibly a stint at a prominent basketball program in the NCAA this fall.

While he may not be a “can’t-miss” prospect, at least not yet, he is a very intriguing prospect, and it isn’t just because of his surname.

The 6-foot-2 18-year-old has been described as a hybrid guard who has a smooth floor game and a nice feel for what is happening on the court. Many believe it will take him years to develop into an NBA-caliber player, but the potential seems to be there.

The younger James will have a chance to show his stuff in front of a broad audience, as he was selected to USA Basketball’s entry in the Nike Hoop Summit.

He and his teammates will compete against some of the best players age 18 and under from FIBA teams located across the globe.

The Nike Hoop Summit is scheduled to begin on April 8 at Moda Center, the home arena of the Portland Trail Blazers.
