But wait, there’s more!
The Denver Broncos made seven roster moves on Tuesday, and another move is on the way.
The Broncos are set to sign former New Orleans Saints wide receiver A.T. Perry to their practice squad, according to a report from NewOrleans.Football’s Nick Underhill.
Denver coach Sean Payton has had a habit of collecting former Saints players and coaches, but Perry isn’t one of the players Payton drafted in New Orleans. The Saints selected Perry in the sixth round of last year’s NFL draft out of Wake Forest while Payton was coaching the Broncos.
Perry (6-5, 205 pounds) appeared in 10 games with New Orleans last fall, totaling 12 receptions for 246 yards and four touchdowns. He was a healthy scratch for the Saints’ first four games this season before being waived on Oct. 4.
The 24-year-old receiver could get a chance to play against his former team when Denver travels to New Orleans for a Thursday Night Football showdown with the Saints in Week 7.
The Broncos had room for Perry on the 17-player practice squad after promoting linebacker Levelle Bailey from the practice squad on Tuesday.
