After starting 0-2, the Denver Broncos are now set to face the 2-0 Miami Dolphins on Sunday.
Following a 35-33 loss to the Washington Commanders last week, star safety Justin Simmons assured fans and media members that the team will get back to winning.
“I’m not worried about what anyone has to say,” Simmons said after the Week 2 loss. “Everyone is going to write us off, and we’re 0-2. Everyone is going to have their opinions and they’re going to say what they are going to say. But that doesn’t change that we have a game next week in Miami.
“We’ve got to go win the game. I’m not going to pay attention to what anyone has to say. At the end of the day, we’ve got to go play these games. We have to find ways to win, and we will win.”
Dating back to last season, the Broncos are now 5-14 in their last 19 games. Even after bringing in experienced head coach Sean Payton, Denver is struggling to get out of a slump. Simmons is confident that will change soon.
