Broncos, Russell Wilson react to Carmelo Anthony’s retirement from the NBA

Russell Wilson called Carmelo Anthony “one of the greatest scorers” of all time after the NBA star retired.

Carmelo Anthony announced his retirement on Monday after 19 years in the NBA.

“Melo” started his career with the Denver Nuggets, where he played from 2003-2011. Although he never won an NBA title, Anthony did win three gold medals with Team USA at the 2008, 2012 and 2016 Olympics.

A 10-time NBA All-Star and a member of the NBA’s 75th Anniversary Team, Anthony scored 28,289 points during his career while playing for the Nuggets, New York Knicks, Oklahoma City Thunder, Houston Rockets, Portland Trail Blazers and, most recently, the Los Angeles Lakers.

The Denver Broncos took to Twitter on Monday to congratulate Anthony on his career and they shared a throwback photo of the NBA star wearing ornage and blue colors for a GQ photoshoot.
