Broncos rise three spots in NFL power rankings

The Broncos rise three spots in USA TODAY’s NFL power rankings this week.

Following their impressive 38-10 win over the Detroit Lions in Week 14, the Denver Broncos are now ranked 17th in Nate Davis’ latest NFL power rankings for USA TODAY Sports. That’s up three spots from their No. 20 ranking last week.

Here is Davis’ commentary with Denver’s ranking this week:

Only Kansas City has more non-conference wins than Denver’s four. Unfortunately for them, it’s only AFC competition the rest of the way, and the Broncos are 3-5 within the conference.

Elsewhere in the AFC West, the Kansas City Chiefs are ranked No. 4, the Los Angeles Chargers are ranked No. 10 and the Las Vegas Raiders are ranked No. 20. The Broncos will face all three of their division rivals one more time this season.

The Cincinnati Bengals, who Denver will host this week, are ranked No. 13.

The Green Bay Packers are ranked No. 1 this week and the Jacksonville Jaguars are ranked No. 32. To view the complete NFL power rankings entering Week 15, visit USATODAY.com.
