Broncos release wide receiver from practice squad, re-sign defensive back

The Broncos released WR Kaden Davis from the practice squad on Monday and re-signed CB Quinton Newsome.

The Denver Broncos released wide receiver Kaden Davis from their practice squad on Monday, the team announced.

Davis (6-1, 190 pounds) signed with the team’s practice squad on Sept. 11 and was released on Oct. 1. He was then re-signed on Oct. 8, only to be released yet again on Oct. 14.

The 26-year-old receiver originally entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent out of Northwest Missouri State with the Broncos in 2022. He later spent time with the USFL’s Michigan Panthers, the Arizona Cardinals and the Detroit Lions before returning to Denver.

After parting ways with Davis, the Broncos still have three wide receivers on their practice squad: David Sills, Michael Bandy and A.T. Perry, who just signed with the team last week.

To fill the spot formerly held by Davis on the practice squad, Denver re-signed rookie defensive back Quinton Newsome, who was cut last week when the team made a flurry of roster moves.
