Touchdown Wire’s Mark Schofield recently released his list of the top 12 quarterbacks in the NFL and Denver Broncos signal-caller Russell Wilson cracked the top 10, ranked No. 8 ahead of the 2022 season.
Here’s part of Schofield’s commentary with Wilson’s rank:
Wilson remains one of the more effective deep-ball passers in the NFL. While his ACP last season on throws over 20 yards was 40.0% — ranking him 24th among qualified passers — he completed 29 of 75 such attempts for 1,090 yards (third-most in the league) and nine touchdowns, along with just a pair of interceptions. …
Wilson is still one of the game’s best, and his presence in Denver has Broncos fans thinking about the Super Bowl.
Elsewhere in the AFC West, Patrick Mahomes is ranked No. 1, Justin Herbert is ranked No. 5 and Derek Carr is ranked No. 12. The division arguably has the best group of quarterbacks in the league.
