Teddy Bridgewater is coming to town, but Vikings fans in attendance for the preseason opener might have to wait a few series to see him get reps.

That’s because Denver coach Vic Fangio announced that Drew Lock will be the starter in the preseason game against Minnesota at U.S. Bank Stadium Saturday.

Minnesota doesn’t have the quarterback battle that Denver does, but there are still a few interesting things to watch for that position. The Vikings have Kirk Cousins as the established starter. Then, the depth chart is wide open: Jake Browning, Kellen Mond, Danny Etling and Nate Stanley are all competing for the other spots available.

Mond was drafted in the third round this year, so it would be very shocking for him to get cut. However, there is a chance that Mond might not be the backup, with Jake Browning making a strong case for himself this training camp. So Vikings fans likely get to watch some current and former Minnesota quarterbacks compete for roles on Saturday.
