After 13 games, the Denver Broncos are finally getting a break with a bye in Week 14. The Broncos are going into the bye with an 8-5 record, which has them on pace to make the NFL playoffs this fall.
Broncos rookie quarterback Bo Nix is ready for the break.
“It will be obviously my first time, so I’ll enjoy it,” Nix said. “I think it’s at a good time. We have a lot of ball behind us, and it’s kind of set us up for this. A good week of rest, good week of just kind of [getting] a reset. Then we have four more games. Four tough games to battle through down the stretch.
“We’re going for a playoff spot. We’re going for longer in the season. So it’s going to be good for us. I think the guys are going to enjoy it, but we’re also going to be I think excited to get back and finish this thing out the right way.”
After the bye, the Broncos will host the Indianapolis Colts (6-7), who are also on a bye this week. A win against the Colts would give Denver’s playoff push a big boost. First things first, though, it’s time to recharge.
