The Denver Broncos have promoted fullback Michael Burton from the practice squad to the 53-man roster, according to the NFL’s transaction wire.
Denver had room for Burton on the active roster after placing rookie running back Audric Estime (ankle) on injured reserve. Estime will now miss at least four games.
To fill Burton’s former spot on the practice squad, the Broncos officially signed wide receiver Kaden Davis before Wednesday’s practice.
Davis (6-1, 190 pounds) has spent time with the Broncos, Arizona Cardinals and Detroit Lions since entering the league as an undrafted free agent out of Northwest Missouri State in 2022, but he is yet to appear in a regular season game.
While playing for the Michigan Panthers in 2023, Davis hauled in eight receptions for 83 yards. He also totaled 22 yards on punt returns and 311 yards on kickoff returns, giving him 416 all-purpose yards in the USFL.
Denver’s 17-player practice and 53-man roster are now both full.
