Broncos PR Diontae Spencer named AFC Special Teams Player of the Week

Not only did returner Diontae Spencer rush down the sideline and into the end zone for the Broncos in Week 14 against the Panthers, he now rushed into the NFL’s weekly honors.
The league announced Wednesday that Spencer was named the AFC’s Special Teams Player of the Week for his efforts. Spencer notched the first touchdown of the Broncos’ 32-27 win. It was also his first-career score as well.
The 83-yard return was the team’s first punt return score since 2015. Spencer is averaging 17.5 yards per punt return now in 2020.
This is the third time a Bronco has won AFC Special Teams Player of the Week this season. Kicker Brandon McManus won it in Weeks 4 and 6
