Broncos place original-round tender on RB Phillip Lindsay

The Broncos have placed a low tender on restricted free agent Phillip Lindsay, according to Mike Klis of 9News [KUSA-TV].
Teams can essentially sign Lindsay without offering any draft pick compensation. However, the Broncos can still match whatever offer Lindsay receives.
Lindsay will still be allowed to negotiate and sign offer sheets with other teams. If Lindsay signs an offer sheet with someone else, the Broncos will have the right to match that offer and keep Lindsay.
Lindsay grew up in the Denver area and played college football at the University of Colorado Boulder before signing with the Broncos as an undrafted free agent in 2018.
Lindsay made the Pro Bowl as a rookie after rushing for 1,037 yards and scoring 10 touchdowns. Lindsay rushed for 1,000 yards again in 2019 but he saw his role decline in 2020 after the team signed Melvin Gordon
