Broncos lose CB A.J. Bouye to suspension ahead of matchup with Panthers

According to a report by Adam Scheftere at ESPN, Broncos cornerback A.J. Bouye has been suspended six games by the NFL.

The Panthers will host the Broncos this week in a matchup between 4-8 teams. While Denver doesn’t have much going on offensively, if you watched their Sunday night game against the Chiefs you know they have a very tough defensive unit. Carolina is catching a break, though.

According to a report by Adam Schefter at ESPN, Broncos cornerback A.J. Bouye has been suspended six games by the NFL.

Bouye came to Denver via a trade with the Jaguars back in March. In 100 career games, Bouye has posted 14 interceptions, 72 passes defensed and 338 combined tackles.

While Bouye being out is good news for the Panthers offense, it won’t matter much if they don’t get their wide receivers back in time for Sunday’s game. Both D.J. Moore and Curtis Samuel are currently on the team’s reserve/COVID-19 list.

The Broncos also still have a lot of playmakers on that side of the ball, including defensive tackle Shelby Harris and safety Justin Simmons, who leads his team with four interceptions this year.
