Broncos injury report: 5 players unlikely to play vs. Colts

These five Broncos players are unlikely to play against the Colts in Week 1 of preseason.

The Denver Broncos do not release official injury reports in preseason, but we can make an educated guess based on player participation in practice.

The Broncos have five players who have been sidelined at training camp in recent days and it’s hard to imagine any of them suiting up on Sunday.

Denver safety Brandon Jones and cornerback Levi Wallace have been nursing hamstring injuries and the team probably won’t risk reaggravating those muscle injuries.

Broncos pass rusher Nik Bonitto has also been hindered by a back injury, so he’s unlikely to make his preseason debut in Indianapolis.

Meanwhile, Denver linebacker Drew Sanders (Achilles) and safety Delarrin Turner-Yell (ACL) remain on the physically unable to perform list, so they definitely won’t play against the Colts. That’s five total players who we can presumably assume are out this week.

3. LB Drew Sanders (Achilles)

Sunday’s game will be nationally televised on NFL Network. After traveling to Indy in Week 1, Denver will host the Green Bay Packers next week. To view the Broncos’ complete preseason schedule, click here.
