Story update: The Broncos announced Sunday that Josey Jewell has been downgraded to out for Week 1. See our original post below.
The Denver Broncos will likely start backup inside linebacker Alex Singleton against the Seattle Seahawks on Monday after Josey Jewell (calf) was listed as doubtful on Saturday’s injury report.
With Jewell unlikely to play, Singleton is expected to start next to Jonas Griffith. The only other linebacker on the active roster is Justin Strnad, so it wouldn’t be surprising to see rookie Kana’i Mauga elevated from the practice squad to the game day roster this weekend.
Elsewhere on the injury front, outside linebacker Randy Gregory (shoulder/knee), right tackle Billy Turner (knee/hip) and wide receiver KJ Hamler (knee/hip) are all listed a questionable for Week 1.
Denver’s complete injury report can be seen below.
Player | Thur | Fri | Sat | Game Status |
OLB Randy Gregory (shoulder/knee) | Limited | Limited | Limited | Questionable |
