After being limited for all three days of practice last week, Denver Broncos wide receiver Jerry Jeudy (hamstring) was limited again on Wednesday as the team began preparing to face the Washington Commanders in Week 2.
After practice, coach Sean Payton said Jeudy was close to playing in Week 1, but the team wanted to be cautious. That seems to be a good sign for the chances of Jeudy playing this week.
Elsewhere on the injury front, safety Caden Sterns (knee) was placed on injured reserve Wednesday. Broncos tight end Greg Dulcich (hamstring) is expected to be sidelined for several weeks, but he avoided short-term IR. That might be a sign that the team expects Dulcich back on the field within four games.
With Sterns out, Delarrin Turner-Yell and rookie JL Skinner are now the team’s top backup safeties. At tight end, Adam Trautman might see more involvement in the passing game while Dulcich is sidelined.
