The Denver Broncos are filling out their staff under new head coach Sean Payton. In doing so, they’ve actually brought in a former head coach… of the Denver Broncos.
Vance Joseph was the top man in Denver from 2017-2018 and went 11-21 during his two seasons in the Mile High City. Now, Joseph is back, but this time as defensive coordinator.

So why does this matter for the Seattle Seahawks? Well, assistant head coach and defensive specialist Sean Desai actually interviewed for the open Broncos defensive coordinator position. Desai has been a name being constantly mentioned for many openings. But with Denver going with Joseph, it seems one less opportunity is out there.
One that is still open is with the Philadelphia Eagles, who lost their defensive coordinator Jonathan Gannon to become the head coach for the Arizona Cardinals.
Desai actually interviewed with Philadelphia for the open position, but no word as of yet how the Eagles will proceed.
