After being limited at practice last Wednesday with a “veteran rest day” designation, Denver Broncos defensive lineman Zach Allen fully participated on Thursday. Allen was then limited on Friday and the team added “heel” to his injury designation and listed him as questionable for Week 12.
Allen ended up being inactive on Sunday and he was spotted at the Las Vegas Raiders game wearing a walking boot on his right foot. Despite the seemingly alarming appearance of that boot, Broncos coach Sean Payton downplayed Allen’s injury during his Monday conference call.
“We should be fine there,” Payton told reporters, via Parker Gabriel of the Denver Post. “I’m not going to hit any injuries today. But we should be fine there.”

Elsewhere on the injury front, Denver cornerback Riley Moss left Sunday’s game with a knee injury. After the game, Payton said, “Fortunately, it wasn’t really serious.” The cornerback has an MCL injury, but the severity is not yet known.
Broncos quarterback Bo Nix also appeared to be in some pain in the second half and his waist area was wrapped on the sideline. Nix finished the game, and neither he nor Payton has addressed any potential injury. We’ll see if he shows up on the injury report later this week.
