The Denver Broncos claimed cornerback Shakial Taylor off of waivers from the Indianapolis Colts, the team announced Tuesday.
Taylor was waived by the Colts on Monday. He was originally an undrafted free agent that signed with the team following the 2019 NFL Draft. He spent the entire offseason with the Colts up until the roster cuts at the beginning of September.
Taylor was then signed to the practice squad where he would stay until being called up to the active roster before the Week 5 game against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Taylor was mostly a depth piece for the Colts in the secondary, but he didn’t offer much on special teams. With the roster getting healthier, the Colts made a move to open up a spot.
