Denver Broncos cornerback Riley Moss appeared to suffer a knee injury late in the second quarter of Sunday’s game against the Las Vegas Raiders.
Moss left the game after helping tackle tight end Brock Bowers. Moss was helped off the field and examined in the blue medical tent. After leaving the tent, he was taken into the locker room just before halftime.
The Broncos initially said Moss was questionable to return, but he was later ruled out in the third quarter.
Levi Wallace entered the game to replace Moss as the No. 2 outside cornerback across from Pat Surtain. Ja’Quan McMillian continues to play in the slot.
With Kris Abrams-Draine inactive, Denver’s remaining backup cornerbacks available against the Raiders are Tremon Smith and Damarri Mathis.
Before leaving the game, Moss recorded four tackles and one pass breakup. He has emerged as a key member of the Broncos’ secondary this season, totaling seven pass breakups and one interception going into Week 12.
