Following a 19-8 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Thursday Night Football in Week 6, the Denver Broncos (1-5) are now ranked No. 28 in Nate Davis’ latest NFL power rankings for USA TODAY Sports.
That makes the Broncos a bottom-five team in the NFL, at least according to these rankings. Here is Davis’ commentary on Denver going into Week 7:
They’ll only leave Denver one time from now until December. That may not necessarily be a plus given how this 1-5 outfit is trending … though if Sean Payton continues offloading players, at least the home fans will have some new guys to boo.
Elsewhere in the AFC West, the Chiefs are ranked No. 3, the Los Angeles Chargers are ranked No. 19 and the Las Vegas Raiders are ranked No. 20. The Broncos remain the lowest-ranked team in the division.
The Green Bay Packers, who will travel to Denver this week, are ranked No. 21.
The Carolina Panthers are ranked No. 32 (last) and the San Francisco 49ers are ranked No. 1. To view the complete NFL power rankings going into Week 6, visit USATODAY.com.
