Following a 35-33 loss to the Washington Commanders on Sunday, the Denver Broncos are now ranked 28th in Nate Davis’ latest NFL power rankings for USA TODAY Sports. That’s down three spots from their No. 25 overall rank last week.
Here is Davis’ commentary on the Broncos going into Week 3:
They opened 0-2 at home for the first time. Per ESPN, Sean Payton had been 72-0 with an 18-point lead … before Sunday. Another, uh, memorable campaign already brewing in the Rocky Mountains.
Elsewhere in the AFC West, the Kansas City Chiefs are ranked No. 4, the Los Angeles Chargers are ranked No. 21 and the Las Vegas Raiders are ranked No. 27. The Broncos remain the lowest-ranked team in the division
The Miami Dolphins, who will host the Broncos on Sunday, are ranked No. 6.
The Houston Texans are ranked No. 32 (last) and the San Francisco 49ers are ranked No. 1. To view the complete NFL power rankings, visit USA TODAY.
