San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy suffered an elbow injury late in the game Monday night when the Niners lost 40-34 to the Detroit Lions.
The injury initially puts at risks his availability in Week 18 when the Arizona Cardinals face them at State Farm Stadium.
After the game, 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan said he initially thought it was a nerve issue after landing wrong on it. However, he might have imaging done Tuesday.
If Purdy can’t play in the season finale, Josh Dobbs might get the start. He played for the Cardinals last season and started eight games for them, going 1-7.
The first injury report of the week will come out after Wednesday’s practices for the Cardinals and 49ers.
