Former Tennessee assistant Brian Niedermeyer was named head coach at Tuscaloosa County High School in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
He served as Tuscaloosa County’s defensive coordinator in 2024.
Niedermeyer served as the Vols’ inside linebackers coach in 2020 under head coach Jeremy Pruitt. He was also Tennessee’s tight ends coach from 2018-19.
Niedermeyer served on Nick Saban’s staff at Alabama from 2016-17 before arriving at Tennessee. He was a graduate assistant (2016) and assistant director of recruiting operations (2017) for the Crimson Tide.
Prior to Alabama, he was a graduate assistant at Georgia in 2015.
Following his time at Tennessee, Niedermeyer also served as an assistant coach at St. Thomas Aquinas and IMG Academy in Florida.
