Gomer, I’m sorry, Brian Kelly is wrapping up his first official national signing day at LSU and a quick check at Notre Dame’s all-time winningest coach suggests he isn’t having a banner day.
A quick look at our friends at LSU Tigers Wire shows a day that hasn’t gone Kelly’s way.
First, former safety commitment, five-star Jacoby Mathews committed to LSU in April of 2021 but the Tigers are now said to be out of the running for his services. Regardless of what the bagmen at Texas A&M did, this loss still stings for Mathews’ home-state LSU.
To top that bad news though, tight end Danny Lewis, the young man that Kelly awkwardly danced on in a viral video just days ago, signed his letter of intent to play for Nick Saban at Alabama.
