LSU traveled to Starkville, Mississippi, to take on the Mississippi State Bulldogs in what was considered a trap game by many people. The game started at 11 a.m. CT, and the team had to leave their hotel very early that morning to make an hour’s drive to get there.
Brian Kelly even called an audible during the trip to keep his players loose.
That audible seemed to work as LSU destroyed Mississippi State 41-14 as [autotag]Jayden Daniels[/autotag] and [autotag]Malik Nabers[/autotag] put up generational numbers. Daniels finished the game 30-for-34 for 361 yards and two touchdowns. Nabers finished the game with 13 receptions for 239 yards and two touchdowns. Overall, Kelly was pleased with how his team played on the road.
“Yeah, I mean I think that’s a difficult defense to play against,” Kelly told ESPN’s Katie George following the game, per On3. “I thought our guys really handled themselves with great poise in a very difficult environment early on to play in.”
LSU will face the Arkansas Razorbacks this Saturday in Baton Rouge.
