Entering the 2023 season, Brian Cameron was coming off a solid junior campaign. In his first season with the Scarlet Knights, he recorded 44 points and scored 34 goals. With the 2023 campaign nearly in the books, the Bedford native has built on his success and has offensively been one of Rutgers leaders.
In 10 games this season, Cameron has scored 25 goals and added nine assists to his resume. He ranks second on Rutgers in points and is tied for the team lead in goals. After finishing the 2022 campaign fourth on the team in points and fifth in goals, Cameron has been a reliable source of offense.
While his overall statistics are impressive, the talented attacker has recently been a points machine. In his last five games, Cameron has 15 points. He has been aggressive with the ball during that stretch and attempted 38 shots. When healthy, the former Tarheel has proven to be a difference maker.

With only one game left before tournament play, Rutgers will need Cameron at his best over the next few weeks. The Scarlet Knights have struggled in conference play this year and only recorded one win. However, their lack of success against Big Ten teams can become a distant memory with a deep playoff run.

Regardless of the outcome, Cameron is providing a reminder of his value. He has come through in clutch moments with two game-winning goals and forced five turnovers. In tournament play, Rutgers hopes a few more magical moments are left in his stick.
