The Arizona Cardinals have released their list of inactive players for their Week 2 matchup against the Washington Football Team. The list mostly has no surprises.
The players who will not suit for Arizona are as follows:
- QB Brett Hundley
- RB Eno Benjamin
- C Mason Cole
- T Joshua Miles
- TE Maxx Williams
- DL Leki Fotu
Cole and Williams were ruled out with injuries on the final injury report of the week. They did not practice all week.
Chris Streveler has apparently earned the backup job over Hundley at quarterback, especially since he can contribute on special teams.
With Fotu being inactive, it leaves only five defensive lineman dressed for the game, suggesting the Cardinals anticipate using only two on the field most of the time.
Rookie tackle Josh Jones is active for the first time and will get to play some. It is possible he is used as a jumbo tight end if the Cardinals want to go that route.
With Cole out, Lamont Gaillard will start at center and with Williams out, Dan Arnold will start and get more playing time.
Safety Jalen Thompson is on injured reserve now. Either Deionte Thompson or Chris Banjo will likely start in his place.
